Calligraphy with a relaxed sensibility and analog appeal

Hi, I'm Calileo.

When my body and mind became increasingly tired of working on a computer all the time, and I missed the creative work I did with my hands, I was fated to encounter English calligraphy.

Since then, I have been immersed in the charm of handwriting and participated in workshops with artists from Seoul, London, and overseas, and continued to collaborate on various English calligraphy with Louis Vuitton Korea, OB beer, and fashion brands.

Calligraphy brings new depth and emotion

The crackling sound and touch of writing with ink on the tip of the pen still makes me feel excited and excited. If you experience it, you'll fall in love with the relaxed sensibility and analog charm of handwriting.

In calligraphy, the writing itself is beautiful, but the meaning and nuance contained in it are added, and every time I read it, I feel a new sense of depth and emotion.

Relaxed, adventurous

Modern style with a sense of naturalness

Have you heard of modern style?

We'll learn modern fonts from traditional English typefaces and modern typefaces.

Modern typeface is the best typeface to express your personality. Learning proportions and rules is very important for traditional typefaces, but the appeal of modern typefaces is that they don't need to be bound by them.

Let's express the relaxed, adventurous, and irregular feeling to the fullest in modern style. I would recommend modern style to all of you who seek an unconventional sense of naturalness rather than just writing the same thing.

There are two reasons why this class is special

🖌 First, learn properly from experts

I was able to have a broad perspective by working on BI, brand, advertising, and package design in various fields for over 10 years. Thanks to this, I can solve the difficult parts and questions students have in a cool way.

Furthermore, they understand and teach traditional typefaces (italic, copperplate), which are the roots of modern typefaces, so you can learn the basics by properly informing them of similarities and differences.

You will learn the general background knowledge of modern characters, drawing basic lines, lowercase letters, uppercase letters, short sentence exercises, and sentence decoration step by step.

🖌 Second, the basics and practice in one place

It can get boring if you just do basic exercises, right?

Using the typefaces I've learned, I'll work together to create works for use in real life and in specialized fields.

Are you curious about how it can be used in practice?

AllI will also introduce know-how that is widely used in everyday life and practice, combined with a broad range of topics, and examples of various collaborations sold in actual department stores and stores.

Once you learn it

A modern type that can be used in various ways

The sky is light, and the modern style without being excessive is also great for use everywhere.

Use it as an invitation for a home party, decorating a homemade cake, or as a gift wrap ribbon. You'll get your own package that's even more awesome than painting.

It's a versatile typeface that can also be used in specialized fields such as typography, logo, and package design if you sharpen your skills a little more.

With my own personality and experiments

Let's make your own typeface style

Let's practice step by step with me.

It's easier to use dip pens and oblique pens that were unfamiliar, and beginners can get used to using free modern typefaces rather than traditional typefaces that were difficult to think of.

Furthermore, you can create your own typeface style through your own personality and experiments

Let's take on the challenge with a light heart.

Modern typeface is a great typeface to learn and challenge with a relaxed mind, because even if you don't have enough skills, you can make the most of its style.

Rather than following along the same lines, please enjoy learning modern characters that express a relaxed and adventurous feeling to your heart's content.
