Chiangmai-style hand-stitching?

Immerse yourself in making your own clothes with your own hands.

So much The simple wayI cut it with and weave the cloth using sewing techniques that are even beautiful. Hello, I would like to introduce Chiangmai-style hand sewing to everyone AbundanceIt's. “It's good both now and then” Chiang Mai spiritArmed with this method of making clothes. Let me introduce my fascination with Chiangmai-style hand-stitching.

Actually, I put the phrase “Chiangmai style hand sewing” because I learned it in Chiang Mai. To be precise Sewing techniques of the Karen (Gosan people), a minority ethnic group in Chiang MaiThis is it.

It's even better if you use Indian cloth or linen with beautiful colors and patterns. It's a process of making clothes and accessories by weaving cloth using a unique knitting method using naturally dyed Chiang Mai hemp yarn.

When it comes to making clothes, there is no complicated process of cutting based on patterns that come to mind. You can cut the finished garment to the desired length according to the body shape of the person who will wear it.

The weaving process also takes the unique method of the Karen people, so it is not complicated, but it can be finished stably and beautifully.

I first encountered hand-sewing unique to the Karen people (Gosan people) on a trip to Chiang Mai that I accidentally left in 2016, and I was fascinated by the method and process, so I continued to sew until now.

Offline class-in “Death Needlework Club”While running, I shared this method of hand sewing with many people, and shared the joy I get from it. Now I want to share this fun with more people online beyond local and time limits.

I can't buy it for money anywhere

It's about making my own tastes, clothes, and time.

Wondering where you can buy clothes that are both comfortable and stylish? You don't have to look all over the place to make it by hand, sweat, sweat, and sweat.

“I” is something I forget when I live a busy life. It will be a time for me to slowly get to know what I like and what I want. What do you want to do? What do you like? What suits you? Let's get to know them all at this time.

I'll also show you how to wear finished clothes more comfortably and stylishly. It's not just a part where there are rules or a summary of how to do it, but we'll talk about how Bok Tae uses these clothes and what items go well with them. And let's find a method that works for you one by one.

Time for sewing and making clothes,

I want to share more than that.

When I start the offline class “Death Needlework Club,” I first talk about my trip to Chiang Mai, how I came across this sewing, and how this sewing brings me joy.

They also bring aromatic coffee, delicious food, and sweet bread, and have a long time to eat, enjoy, and sew together.

After hours of painstaking work, they're bound to bring out each other's stories. Today's worries, stories about future lives, funny jokes,.. We held a class where we talked with each other according to the speed at which the needles moved, and shared “Chiang Mai sewing” as a way of life, not just a sewing technique.

Let's share it online too.

Sewing becomes my way of life!

I decided to hold an online class because I wanted to share the experience I had with many people offline, and the fun with people I couldn't be with because I was far away. I had a lot of trouble because I wanted to bring not only the sewing techniques but also the time and mood we shared together online.

First of all, from the class video, there will be music that is perfect for playing while sewing. In addition, we also recommend a mix set that is easy to listen to, so enjoy the music so that you don't lose time sewing for a long time.

The kit includes 4 coffee drip bags of beans to match each finished work. Brew coffee before sewing (if you don't enjoy coffee, prepare another drink of your choice!) You'll have a leisurely time to prepare for the start. Also, stitching with the fragrant aroma of coffee will lead to a natural healing time.

I like the time I spend sewing and pouring out these and other stories the most. In the video, I'll first tell you the story of Bok Tae. Tell us your story in the comments. What thoughts did you hear while sewing, and how those thoughts changed while sewing? Just sharing together will relieve your worries, and only fresh thoughts will remain in your mind.

After all, the hand sewing I learned during this time

I hope it will permeate your life.

The clothes I make are naturally my kids, my friends, my parents, etc... It becomes clothing for people around you. It's a good idea to make clothes that fit not only your body, but also your loved ones, right?

There are plenty of ways to use it even after the class is over, because it's an easy way to cut and make it even if you have a fabric other than the one included in the kit, or use discarded fabrics or unused clothes.

The experience of meeting a new culture, and learning the art of making my own clothes with my own hands. Also, try the experience of moving your hands, getting rid of distractions, and immersing yourself in the moment. Furthermore, I hope that these hand-stitched and hand-sewn clothes and accessories will remain in your life for a long time as a good friend and hobby that you can enjoy anytime, anywhere.

I make my own “sewing club of death” with my own hands, making my own clothes. Let's take that first step into your life with me.
