Zero Waste (Zero Waste)!

Reduce packaging or use recyclable materials

Global movement to reduce waste

The sewing machine sounds better than any other kind of music.

Hello? I'm Hee-ya, who runs a sewing machine workshop in Daegu.

More than 20 years ago, while working in Taji, I came across quilts because I was stressed and lonely, and sewing, which began like that, is now a daily routine and a job.

I think sewing has been my destiny since I slept with my mom asking me to cut socks to make doll dresses, and to teach me how to cut and sew discarded clothes. ^^

Do you know the global movement, Zero Waste (Zero Waste)?

Until a few months ago, I also 'Zero waste (zero waste)I was unfamiliar with the words “.

Although I used a handmade shopping cart using a sochang dish towel, I simply liked the feel and feel of the sochang dish cloth rather than using it for the environment, and since I was running a sewing machine workshop, I was able to make and use my own shopping cart, so I only did that much practice.

Meanwhile, one of the students who came to the workshop “Zero Waste” works with good practicality and high qualityHe wrote down a list of works because he wanted to create.

As a result of that work, I became interested in zero-waste works, and I thought, “How indiscriminate use of disposable products have I been using?” It made me reflect.

'Microplastics' are threatening the health of our families and loved ones

A piece of plastic smaller than 5 mm is called a “microplastic.”

It is said that microplastics are introduced into the ocean due to the garbage we use and throw away, and the fish and seaweed that ate them come up on our table, and there is a vicious cycle where we consume plastic again.

It is said that paper cups and tea bags also generate microplastics when they come into contact with hot water, so how much plastic do we eat in a day?

Let's start with the disposable products we use the most in our daily lives

Looking back on my daily life, what can I do The disposable product I usually use the most is a plastic bagIt was. whereupon Pouches of various sizes that are easy to use to replace plastic bags I've developed a curriculum that focuses on classes.

I usually use it casually Wouldn't it be possible to pass on a slightly better environment to our children if we cut down on one plastic bag little by little?

Heeya's small workshop will work with you to make high-quality small items that help reduce the use of disposable products and waste emissions in everyday life!

Let's be a plus in reducing disposable products by gifting them to people who love meaningful accessories made by me, full of sincerity:)

The simpler the work, the better the stitching, the higher the value

I have seen many people who come to the workshop find it difficult to create a work, and they are not satisfied with the work they have created. This was the case not only for those who are learning about sewing machines for the first time, but also for those who have experience with sewing machines, but are not familiar with the basics.

People who find it difficult to use a sewing machine may find it difficult to finish 2 small dishcloths in 3 hours.

Therefore, in this lesson, I will start with a very basic introduction to sewing machines, create various works such as dishcloths, single-layer pouches, lining pouches, aperture pouches, drawstring pouches, shopping carts, etc., and develop the techniques used to make each work.

The curriculum is structured in a structured way so that you can learn new techniques and tips for each item. ^^

Each pouch design has a different seam treatment and floor shape, and the structure is different so that you can learn tips on how to make the stitching clean and high-quality.

Overall, in the class, you will also practice making a single layer without lining so that you can apply various seam treatment methods such as full sole, roll sole, and cut sole, and you will also learn how to make bias straps and closures neatly.

Multiple revisions and sample work

We carefully sampled each pattern and fabric one by one, and then confirmed the size and decided on the material.

“Why can't I do it......? '

“Why use this thick fabric?”

“I can't sew curves, how can I do it a little better?”

“Do you put the scissor at a right angle? I wonder if it comes out in an oblique line? '

“Do you cut sea-jams? I wonder if it's folding? '

Don't worry about it alone now!

Let's try making different fabrics according to the shape of the pattern I prepared and unravel it with me!

You'll feel your skills improve little by little every day!

Sewing machines, so that they can become your wise hobby:)

I can't forget the exhilarating joy of stitching when the stitches, which were always crooked, were stitched at uniform intervals. To be able to quickly get rid of the frustrating and frustrating parts while being self-taught on the sewing machine I'll give you my own know-how that I don't even teach at school.
