What is botanical art
A flower or plant
Expressing in detail and beautifully
It's a genre of art.

My encounter with botanical art was a turning point in my life.

I've seen and drawn a variety of paintings since I was a kid, but when I first encountered the field of botanical art, I fell in love with it at first sight. How luxurious and beautiful a detailed flower painting, which is not a common flower painting in general, was it!

As a lover of looking at well-maintained gardens, I really felt like I had met a new world. I draw my own flowers as if I were cultivating my own garden. Come and immerse yourself in the beautiful and luxurious world of botanical art with me.

Do you want unique and beautiful botanical art?

My friends and friends always say the same thing when they see my work. “It's the same botanical art, but your painting is something different. Luxurious and unique beautyThere's one.”

When I think about it, I prefer to use paint as is Mix and use colors yourself, A few more places where I learned botanical art I met a teacher who teaches a wide range of teaching I think that's the case.

Also, I always like challenges I enjoy trying various things with the cool and beautiful techniques of watercolor I like drawing, so I combine pencil and watercolor, and I also combine pen and watercolor.

[Pencil+watercolor painting]

It's a pencil drawing, not a black and white photo:) The one on the right is a painting with a slight watercolor touch on it.

[Pen+watercolor painting]

like this How to mix pen drawing and watercolorI also learn. If you are new to watercolor and have trouble painting, you can practice drawing a line first and then lightly coloring. As a result, you get used to watercolor paint.

While you're in class with me

It might be a little difficult.

There are times when I'm so immersed in botanical art that I don't know how much time passes, and at other times it can feel difficult.

Still, put in a simple and fun process so that you don't get tired Conduct classes that don't get boringI'm trying to do it. I have created a new curriculum that is suitable for Korean people and is suitable for learning as a hobby, while conveying what I have learned as accurately as possible.

For those who are mainly going to learn watercolor techniques but are new to drawing Line exercises and pencil drawing coursesI have one. Pencil drawing is one of the basics of all art.

I learn as a hobby Professional approachI will teach you by doing it. I've been teaching students in college for over 20 years now. Currently, I moved from the US and am still teaching students, running a studio, and exhibiting my work.

After finishing the course with me, 'Ah, I learned botanical art properlyI will conduct the class properly so that I can feel proud to say. It's botanical art that should be depicted in the same way, but just like every person's mood is different, so is painting It depends on who draws it.

I'll collect only the pretty petals and draw them. It's so pretty even if there are only petals like this, right?

Learn techniques such as smearing and layering while drawing petals.

You can draw plump peaks, sparkling fruits, and even cacti flowers that feel like they are fluffy You will learn watercolor techniques one by one.

Botanical art is not a painstaking painting, so it can be difficult for first-time users to finish it with an edge. After painting with watercolor Final impact using colored pencilsI'll let you know so that you can add.

Draw the whole thing with watercolor and finish the details with colored pencils

After completing the course

Peony drawn with watercolor and colored pencils during the beginner's courseIt looks like it is framed.

You can also print out a variety of ways. I printed it out in postcard size and gave it to my friends, and I also made a square name card.

I make and color various colors with the three primary colors, so when I finish the class You will learn how to make a variety of colors with confidence. Most beginners find it difficult to mix colors, but with me you don't have to worry about that.:)

The beginner's course is about getting to know botanical art in general. Firm the foundation If you want to learn and develop a little further, then in the intermediate course Upgraded botanical artIt would be nice to learn.

You can also retouch the finished picture with Photoshop and make a card, calendar, or fabric pattern to make it a small item:)

If you enjoy doing what you love, healing just comes as an extra. Everyone who will plunge into the elegant and wonderful world of botanical art with me! I'm looking forward to it and very welcome:)

I am very lucky to have been living my favorite art-related work since I was young until now.

I've been teaching students at university for over 20 years now... After moving to the US, I was still teaching students at university, running studios, and exhibiting works, and I met so many students and artists. Then I learned about botanical art. I'm getting more and more immersed in beautiful and delicate flower paintings.

What I've felt during this time is that even if it's a hobby, it's better if you know and learn properly. Because a hobby often becomes a job:)

I like flower painting on my own because I just like it, but I think it would be much more useful if I learned it a little more systematically, so I don't have to go far to learn, I can learn botanical art easily and comfortably, and is a great hobby for a long time Here I want to let you know. If you're looking for an unusual and unique luxury hobby of your own, let's get started together!
