What kind of doll is breathing in your memory?

Hallo I'm Hwang Yun-suk, who makes and teaches a variety of dolls. What kind of memories do you have when you think of dolls? I think of the Marlon doll I bought with my pocket money. I used to make clothes by cutting socks that my mom used to secretly wear. Dolls that brought warm memories from childhood, now let's make them with our own hands and capture beautiful memories together.

People who buy dolls I made look at them, laugh, and talk to them as if they had life. They say they don't buy dolls, they take them with them. When that happens, I am left with a feeling of warmth and warmth. I hope everyone can feel that feeling for themselves with handmade dolls.

sewing for dolls,

It's different, but not difficult.

I think all you need to make a doll is fabric, thread, and needles, but it's probably hard to know where and how to start. From sewing methods that are slightly different from regular sewing methods that are perfect for dolls, to ways to put in beautiful cotton Tips for making small but gem-like dollsI'll let you know about it together.

The sewing techniques you learn in class aren't very diverse or colorful, but they are the most basic and essential sewing techniques. Learn how to handle difficult fabrics and how to embroider faces over and over again in a natural way.

The curriculum is designed to increase the difficulty level one after another so that you can make a highly finished doll. Even if I use the same technique, I will complete the doll with a slightly different expression and appearance depending on the person who makes it, so I will create a one-of-a-kind doll in the world.

To be able to make a variety of dolls

It consists of a curriculum to build basic skills

We have prepared classes with a variety of dolls that are more detailed than the beginner courses of offline classes held at the Moon Studio, such as a cat with a tail, a human doll with moving limbs, and a bear with a thick mouth.

After completing all the dolls, from how to handle stretchy fabrics, three-dimensional models, and objects with pointed details, “Would you like to try your own doll?” Along with the courage to do this, you will have the ability to make your own products.

Comfort for adults,

Let's make a doll for you

Dolls, which were thought to be only for children, make friends and comfort adults. You too can pull out the concentric core hidden on one side of your chest, sew, put cotton in, and embroider your face. If I sewed my own sweat and made it, the doll would be many times more special.

Sewing is very slow and can be a calm task, but if we sew and make at the same pace, at some point, cute dolls will come out one by one. While sewing, my mind is emptied and I feel calmer. Our sewing has been a busy day, a month Comfort for meAnd it's going to be a rest.

I've had so much fun when I first started sewing by hand, so I'll help you enjoy it just as much as I did when I spent the whole night making it. Immerse yourself in the charm of hand-sewn dolls with me.

Hallo I'm Hwang Yun-suk, a puppet artist from Dal Studio. While majoring in industrial design and working on drawing drawings, I accidentally started sewing by hand. The moment I felt like this was just my job, I felt that I was fortunate to have so much time, and I felt relaxed. Because even if I become Grandma Hoho, I'll be able to sew. I've been doing it for 15 years, but sewing is always fun. In particular, puppet work seems to come to life like Pinocchio from a fairy tale the moment you put your eyes, nose, and mouth at the end. The doll became both my child and my old friend. It comes from a lot of stories, and together we make memories. We get a lot of comfort while making new dolls and taking puppet lessons. It's a small, clunky rag doll, but with its cute expression, it also calms my anxiety. It also makes us move forward again with a sense of accomplishment that I finished with my own hands. An “adult” who is surviving a difficult time will give you a comforting doll. Would you like to sew together?
