Try cooking with oil pastels

Let's cook with oil pastels as if we were a kid playing with grass and flowers

Stop playing coloring!

How many works have you drawn with oil pastels and left them as they are?
Let's blow it up generously with us!

Hello, this is Chill&Art. What are the characteristics of all classes held in our workshop “Good fortune” That's it! I'm making works that make use of a rich feel with a variety of art materials.

This class is also an oil pastel that is simply used for coloring “How can I work in a more elegant, unique, and interesting way to work?” It was born out of thought. Isn't it amazing and unique that oil pastel works can be so three-dimensional?

Slice, crush, create-

Making a unique 'colored butter'

One day, while working with oil pastels, I tried to create a small piece that was broken, and I felt like playing with clay! When crushed, it softly crushes, and feels chewy, but when left alone, it hardens again.

살면서 '컬러 버터'를 보신 적 있나요?

▶ ︎ Have you ever seen “color butter” in your life?

When we work together, It's like slicing butter for cooking, and the three-dimensional effect will come alive like a colorful oil painting. If oil painting is fresh cream, In addition to being chewy, oil pastels can be said to be chewy butter.

The exciting feeling of slicing, crushing, and mixing colorful butter, Let's feel it together!

Colored butters meet,

Born with a different color of butter

I think you've probably rarely tried mixing oil pastels themselves. When you cut and color oil pastels of various colors, colors that are as beautiful and attractive as paint are created. What you want to express Color combinations suitable for every mood, I'll teach you through this class.

Don't spare any ingredients! It's the rule of Chill & Art. Please be generous and give way to your wonderful paintings:)

Why buttery oil pastels are more fun when they meet a knife

In this class, I'm going to work with me to apply oil pastels and put them on in a variety of ways to “add butter to a dish.” If you put a decoration on the picture, the picture will be even more delicious!

We don't just paint with oil pastels, we use a knife Bending direction/ force adjustment/ quantity adjustmentLearn, Gradation/ Three-dimensional feeling/ Vibrant/ Brilliant You will be able to express all of your back. You can learn knife techniques all at once, so later you'll be able to draw three-dimensional pictures with paint.

In addition to a knife, I'll also show you how to describe it with other materials. In a unique way that is different from others, I can improve the quality of my work.

It's no fun just drawing.

Let's “chill” and enjoy the real painting!

Do you remember cooking grass, petals, leaves, and berries by grinding and crushing them with stones? I used to play as a child, I can recreate just that feeling.

As you freely crush and grind oil pastels, you'll enjoy the process of completing your own paintings! :)

So let's start with buttery oil pastels with us?

Hallo I am the artist Barley and Masse, who runs Chill & Art Studio in Yeonnam-dong. The meaning of Chill & Art is to do art with a cool sensibility and freedom through Chill & Art! Also, the meaning of painting includes paint, hehe, I hope everyone can freely express unique and unique work with us, rather than just painting work that is clearly stuck in a mold. As a collaboration with Discovery, we went to Europe and worked on our own paintings while feeling nature in front of the landscape. Also, since I traveled to the United States for a long time, my way of looking at life and working has changed dramatically. Therefore, I thought a lot about “how to work to make it more unique, new, and fun,” and I started creating a variety of unique classes. As a result, our workshop became a workshop where classes focused on comfort, buttery, three-dimensional effect, and healing ^^. I hope everyone can break the framework of the traditional way of working with our class and heal anew.
