No wonder, you're still not drawing one by one, right?
Don't do that in the 21st century...
Anime should be easy to make.
Easy/fast/smart with ToonBoom Harmony!

Hello! I'm Kiki, a deceased water animator who has been working for over 10 years. I didn't graduate from college majoring in anime. It was full of ridiculous difficulties and trial and error in learning animation while being self-taught.

So it's easier than anyone else! With my own know-how, I'll give you a lot of tips that can be used in practical work! Like me, let's have fun making anime without getting lost for a long time.

Why should I learn Toonboom Harmony?

: “Now, I want the company to deliver in harmony.”

Of course, animation is being produced with flash. However, this is because the number of workers who can handle harmony is small. Every animation company has an internal harmony team, so it's one of the best companies that don't know how to handle harmony. This is because there are few people in the company who can handle harmony even when it comes to producing many works with harmony only by internal employees.

So unfortunately, I'm going to entrust my work to a customer with flash. There's a question I don't miss in every recent meeting, and it's “I don't know how to handle harmony programs.”

If you answer that you know how to handle flash and know how to handle harmony, then if it's a hundred, all of them say, “Please make it a harmony program.” or “I would be so grateful if you could make it a harmony program.” I heard the answer.

Why would that be the case?

Compared to a flash, the movement is much smoother. Furthermore, this is because it has an automatic motion function that reduces work time in a yard where a day or an hour is spent on practical work, so it is an efficient program that saves effort even from the perspective of working workers.

What do you like about ToonBoom Harmony?

: The first is efficiency.

After working on Adobe animation (flash) and paperless (digital drawing) for a long time, I felt uncomfortable. Scenes that require quality in a single video only account for 30 to 40 pros in the entire running time.

The remaining 70 to 60 pros focus on emotional expressions and conversation scenes. Therefore, by reducing the production time for these sub-scenes, it is possible to produce efficiently!

However, with paperless or Adobe animation, it was difficult to reduce production time for sub-scenes that take up 70 pro. Even when animating small actions, you have to repeat simple tasks every time. Even if you work hard and painstakingly, the quality of the work cannot be expressed in depth, so you cannot go beyond the limits of quality due to the nature of the program.

As shown in the video above, if you work on the original picture with a keyframe, the rest will be automatically generated! With this function, it is possible to reduce the time of simple repetition and concentrate time on the main scene to produce high-quality animations.

You can also animate by yourself!

: Second, small-scale creative planning

How can we produce a complete animation video with a small number of people? I had a lot of trouble with Ran. Animation is relatively more common than other videos~~~~ is a job that requires manpower. Therefore, it is difficult to even try to create an animation on your own, and even if you try, it takes a lot of time and physical strength to create a high-quality, high-level work.

I was able to make up for these shortcomings using the Toonboom Harmony program!

  • First of all, you don't need to draw one by one, right?
  • I used the method of banking sources to improve work efficiency.
  • Adobe Animation (Flash) also banks the source and recycles a lot of the source, but there are a lot of restrictions on this. You could use the same scene or any part of the original picture, but if there was a slight difference, you wouldn't be able to use it, so bank sources used to be useless.

However, since the Toonboom Harmony Source is flexible in terms of use, it is possible to create a different feel even with the same source. Also, when you express various emotions, you have to work one by one with Flash or Paperless, but if you use ToonBoom Harmony's Master Control feature!

As shown in the video above, you can add plenty of emotional expressions, so you can create high-quality works with a small number of people.

There was no place where I could learn this good thing!

: Third, skills that cannot be learned in Korea yet

I'm not the right answer, but I think I can explain it more easily after teaching a harmony program, watching TV commercials, and making animations, and I think I've developed my own know-how and tips.

Therefore, this video is designed so that you can learn everything from shortcuts to simple rigging, advanced rigging, and animation without difficulty. I hope it will be a relaxing time for all of you to learn about the many difficulties I have experienced and the frustration of not being able to ask anyone.

Curriculum

kiki

Hello, I'm Kiki, thanks to Annie. I was an ordinary student who was far from studying, just watching comics, drawing, and deviating from studying. As an adult, I really liked drawing, so while studying animation, I felt that the manual way of working by hand was too inefficient. I was wondering if there was an easier way to do it, and I learned about a program called Toonboom Harmony. There was a function that automatically became an anime after rigging and deforming, and the quality of the screen was much better compared to the Flash I used before. I was outsourced to work on this program, and everyone loved it, so I decided to produce commercials and TV animations with this program. I remember that it was very difficult at first because there were no lectures in Korean in Korea, so I'm going to take a video of the lecture like this and post it to share with you. It's not enough, but I hope it helps a little bit.
