The magic of one denim being transformed into 5 works. I'm Foppish, the evangelist of upcycling

Hello. Foppish manufactures environmentally friendly products with the theme of “upcycling,” which increases the value of second-hand clothes and regenerates them.

In this class, in this class, I will teach you tips for making cute accessories and bags that you can use in your daily life by reusing each T-shirt and denim that you no longer wear!

Whether you usually enjoy remaking on your own, those who are interested in sewing but have never done a remake, or those who want to practice activities that are kind to the earth, I would like you to learn how to remake in this class and thoroughly enjoy the concept of upcycling.

What is upcycling in the first place?

“Upcycling” is a sustainable (sustainable) manufacturing method, and the way of thinking is slightly different from recycling (recycling), which has been carried out conventionally.

Recycling refers to the conversion of materials into raw materials and their reuse, but upcycling aims to produce products with higher value than the original product.

We create new value by remaking clothes that we no longer wear and turn them into bags and accessories, and we will continue to use them. This is upcycling.

Do you have denim or shirts that you no longer wear at home?

I bought it when it was thin, but I can't wear it anymore.

The fashion has passed, and it's hard to wear anymore.

It's a waste to throw it away because it's important, but I can't even wear it.

I think everyone has about one piece of clothing like this in the back of the closet.

Why don't you learn the basic knowledge and skills for remaking in this class and breathe life back into those clothes? I think they will become even more attached to it and they will be able to use it carefully!

Everything from the basics to application of remake is completed in the Foppish class!

I will explain carefully based on the points I often stumbled upon when I started the remake. Remakes are different from normal production, and there are places where they cannot be used or sewn. By knowing that beforehand, you will be able to have fun remaking.

Once you've grasped the simple tricks, you'll gradually step up from works that are easy to make. By the time everything is over, you'll be able to enjoy the remake with your own free ideas!

UPCYCLE FOPPISH

There are many people who shy away from remaking because it seems difficult at first glance, but I would be happy if you could experience through this course that you can easily create a textured work without being so difficult if you can get the hang of it.

I had experience in face-to-face courses with dozens of people, but when I was concerned about not being able to take care of every corner in a limited amount of time, I heard voices, and since individual support is possible with online classes, I thought that more people would be able to take on the challenge of remaking more easily, so I decided to take the plunge.

Creator Interviews

Q. What kind of work is your teacher working on? Please introduce your teacher briefly!

A. We are making environmentally friendly products based on the theme of “upcycling,” which increases the value of second-hand clothing and regenerates it.

Q.How did your teacher start upcycling?

A. I made a huge mistake in my diet after childbirth, and my favorite jeans didn't fit in at all no matter how long it was, so I decided to disassemble them and make my favorite wallet, which is the trigger for the upcycle!

Q.What did you work on the most when planning the class? Who would you recommend this class to?

A. I think the level of proficiency of those attending the course is different, so I planned to include the basics so that it is neither too easy nor too difficult, so that the important points of the remake can be conveyed carefully.

I recommend it to those who are interested in making things that are kind to the earth by reusing old things.

Q.Please give a word to the students!

A. The remake is not difficult! Feel free to take the course, so please ask more and more questions if you don't understand.
