The point of drawing like the real thing

Tips for drawing like the real thing using acrylic paint

Would you like to start drawing realistically with acrylic art?

Acrylic paint is also a recommended art material for those who are drawing for the first time. In this class, I will teach you how to draw authentic realism pictures from basic knowledge such as how to mix colors and how to use a brush.

To draw realistic (photorealistic) pictures, of course, you need skill and experience, but once you understand how to draw and how to proceed, you will be able to draw with practice.

Through this class, I think that even those who are not good at drawing will be able to understand where and how to draw in the same way by imitating a model in the same way as calligraphy.

Let's learn the tricks to draw realistically and improve our skills!

You can improve your drawing skills by knowing the basic uses of acrylic paint, how to choose and make colors, and how to use fine brushes.

Let's aim to be able to draw pictures in a variety of styles by learning how to use tools!

Chapters 3, 4, and 5 are designed to improve skills by putting them into practice while conveying points drawn like the real thing.

From there, I draw an abstract picture once, then draw realistic animals in chapter 7, and level up through classes.

Realistic pictures aren't the only things you can express with acrylic paints

The general content of the class focuses on drawing realistic pictures, but that is not the only style of painting that can be drawn with acrylic paint.

You can also learn about abstract painting, where various expressions and abstract expressions can be expressed, making use of the unique characteristics of acrylic paint, which can easily bring out the style of oil painting.

If you “wanted to start an artistic hobby” or “I like drawing and wanted to make my own work,” why don't you draw together using acrylic paint?

Creator Interviews

Q. What kind of activities does the teacher do? Please tell me about your teacher!

A. I graduated from an American university, and after graduation I worked as a graphic designer and painter. After living in the US for 10 years, I returned to Japan in 2017 and as a painter in Japan I paint not only canvases but also large murals. I paint not only with acrylic, but also with art materials such as oil and chalk.

Q. How did you get into acrylic painting?

A. The reason was the acrylic paint I used in college color classes. I've loved drawing since I was a child, but when I didn't use paint for the first time in a long time, I wanted to draw well on canvas, so I started drawing by myself.

Q. Why did you decide to offer online classes with CLASS101?

A. There are a lot of people around me who want to draw in earnest using paint, but there are many opinions that they don't know how to get started, so I decided to start an online class because I wanted to create an opportunity to challenge myself even a little.

Q. What was the most important thing you worked on when planning the class? Who would you recommend the class to, and what kind of experience would you like them to experience through this class?

A. I incorporated basic parts as detailed, detailed, and as much as possible, such as how to use a brush and how to mix, so that you can understand how to proceed and draw without direct interaction.

It is recommended for those who want to start from scratch from now on, or those who can't draw well, to improve their skills.

I hope they can make various discoveries, such as being able to see easily is difficult, or being able to challenge things that they thought they would not be able to do.
