Pattern artist for felt playhouses and cloth picture books.

Activities were suspended for years, but resumed on Instagram around 2021/6. We usually open a shop on an irregular basis and sell patterns. It is handmade after childbirth, but I made use of my experience as a designer when I was single to make an original label to put on my work, which is also a characteristic of the work.

Creator Interviews

Q. What kind of activities does the teacher do? Please tell us a little bit about your teacher!

As a felt pattern artist, I sell patterns. I usually present my work mainly on Instagram. In addition to felt art, I also make felt cloth picture books.

Q. How did your teacher get into felt art?

A. Since my child was born, I made some handmade toys, but I wasn't good at making while looking at books, so I started making original works by myself.

Q. Why did you decide to offer online classes with CLASS101?

A. At first, I thought I wouldn't be able to do it myself, but I discovered that an artist I admired was offering classes at CLASS101, and I wanted to try it out too. I thought it would be possible to convey parts that are difficult to convey with paper recipes, and those who want to try it but feel that it seems difficult can be conveyed in an easy-to-understand manner.

Q. What points did you put the most effort into when planning the class?

Who would you recommend this class to?

A. I chose works that people would like to make. I was at a loss as to whether to include a sewing machine with a lot of steps, but since it was popular in questionnaires, I improved it so that it was easier to make for this course. Also, since I don't touch on label making or photography in my usual activities, I thought the content would be useful even a little.

Q. What kind of experience do you want the students to have through this class?

A. I want you to enjoy the feeling that shapes are gradually being completed from flat sheet felt or cardboard. Once completed, I'm sure you'll be able to create a work that you'll want to look at forever.

Q. Please give a message to the students!

A. Thank you for your interest in my felt work. I myself am self-taught when it comes to handicrafts, and I'm not good at sewing or dexterous. I would like to be able to tell you in an easy-to-understand manner without using difficult words or techniques. We would love for you to enjoy felt art together.
