Stylish eraser stamp with delicate line illustrations and letters

In this class, we will use a slightly specialized knife called a design knife to make an eraser stamp characterized by delicate lines. While there are various carving methods, I will carefully tell you how to carve that I have learned so far.

Also,I think the fun of pressing is also the real thrill of eraser stamps. We will also tell you about various variations, from ink selection to usage, and layering and gradation methods, so you can work on it until the end without getting tired of it.

Improve your skills step by step by carving various designs

First, you will learn the basics of how to carve and push with simple designs that are easy for beginners to work on. In the second half of the curriculum, I will tell you the know-how I have experienced, such as how to carve delicate lines and characters, how to treat margins, and how to finish the stamp surface cleanly.

Widely used for cards and wrapping to accompany gifts

By increasing the variety of carving and pressing methods, you can learn various ways of expression. There are also special inks that can be pressed on various materials, so they can also be pressed on plastic or cloth. Use the techniques you learned in class to carve out your name or favorite illustration, press it on your own, and have fun!

Let's make eraser stamp products and gifts with original designs!

I received a lot of voices saying they wanted to know how to make a design, so at the end,I'll show you how to come up with design ideas and how to draw.In the lesson, try to arrange a design, and actually think about an original design, and try to make a one-of-a-kind stamp in the world!

Illustrations and characters drawn by yourself can also be made more tasteful by putting them on stamps.

I would be happy if you could refer to what I told you in this class and make use of it in creating your own wonderful work.

Let's have a fun eraser stamp time together!

Eraser stamp artist

Nice to meet you! I'm noncohanco who works as an eraser stamp artist. Normally, we sell eraser stamps and paper prints, etc. mainly on SNS, online shops, event stores, etc. In order to order, we have also made many practical eraser stamps, such as shop logos and address stamps, until now. In addition, we widely share the know-how and appeal of making eraser stamps, such as workshops and lessons.

Based on the concept of “adult cute,” I carefully create designs that make me feel cute. I am good at carving illustrations and letters with delicate lines. Also, I think the fun of pressing is the real thrill of eraser stamps. Starting with choosing paper that you can enjoy the texture of, I also value combining motifs and colors to create tasteful printmaking works that can only be expressed with an eraser stamp.

[Creator Interview]

Q. How did you start making eraser stamps?

A. On my eldest son's 1st birthday, my friend gave me a stamp with my eldest son's name as a gift, and that was the moment I first came into contact with the world of eraser stamps as a work. I originally liked detailed work, so I wanted to try making my own, so carving was the beginning of making eraser stamps. Since I was young, I loved drawing pictures and detailed work, so I was drawn to the world of erasers filled with elements of art and crafting.

Q. Why did you offer online classes with CLASS101?

A. Through workshops and lesson experiences, I wanted to someday have the opportunity to pass on basic to applied know-how step by step, from beginners to experienced people, so when I was asked to open a class, I felt connected that it could be realized here. Also, I myself was excited that it would be a place for many people to know the fun of eraser stamps, and that it would also be a place to meet new people, so I decided to cherish that feeling and open the course.

Q. What points did you put the most effort into when planning the class?

A. I thought about what kind of content would satisfy both first-time users and experienced users. It is a curriculum where you can learn from simple motifs that are easy to carve, and learn how to carve complex designs step by step. By the time you've finished all of the lessons, you'll have learned a variety of ways to carve and push. I'll also tell you how to use it for cards and wrapping to accompany gifts, so be sure to think of someone special while making a work.

Q. Please give a message to the students!

A. We want you to fully enjoy the fun and appeal of eraser stamps. An eraser stamp is a tool that can express the author's worldview. In addition to carving the designs you have prepared, please make use of the techniques and knowledge you have experienced in the lessons to create works that convey your own worldview! I try to give lessons that are easy to understand and fun to convey the appeal of eraser stamps. Let's enjoy the world of eraser stamps together!
