Nice to meet you,

This is Alinoko House, an embroidery artist.

I'm Arisa Yamaguchi, a hand embroidery artist who works under the trade name Arinokosha. I work every day in a small atelier surrounded by greenery.

Based on the concept of “a story of such creatures depending on their lifestyle,” we have thought of original designs with motifs of living things such as animals and flowers, and carefully hand embroidered one by one. We propose household goods designed to make you feel better, and we are particular about ease of handling and durability so that they can be used for a long time.

In this class, in addition to the basics of embroidery, you will be asked to create one work while learning techniques and knowledge that Alinoko House found during self-study.

Let's make your own ring pillow filled with thoughts

A ring pillow embroidered with swans and mimosas, which have a meaning suitable for a sunny day, in a hexagonal wooden box representing stability and harmony. It is designed to hold the ring securely, and since the sandwiching part is 9.5 cm wide, you can store not only a wedding ring, but also an engagement ring side by side.

It comes with a lid that securely protects your precious ring from dust and dirt, so you can use it not only as a wedding souvenir, but also as a jewelry case for everyday use.

Completed with 6 types of stitching

Take your time slowly and get prickly

There are 6 types of stitches used in this class. Once you master the basic embroidery method, the same movements are repeated, so even those who are new to embroidery can try it out.

In addition to blue, the kit is available in 3 colors, dull pink and green, so you can choose your favorite color.

By incorporating trivia elements at key points in the embroidery process and learning along with the basics of embroidery, you can customize your work to your liking, and you can also find your own uniqueness in the kit.

Even after completing this class, you can create your own design on your favorite cloth and enjoy embroidery for a long time while applying the basics.

[Creator Interview]

Q. What kind of activities do teachers usually do? Please introduce yourself briefly!

We produce works ordered and works to be delivered to corporate and private general store events.

When I started my activities, my goal was to get many people to see my work, but after I began to hear that my work led me to become interested in embroidery, I began to want to convey the appeal and fun of embroidery to many people.

The lineup of works used to be centered around accessories, but they are shifting from wanting people to feel embroidery in their daily lives to daily necessities and handicraft supplies.

In the future, let's make use of our experience in CLASS101 to do embroidery, such as selling kits and designs! I would like to develop content that will increase the number of people who think that it is even a little bit.

Q. How did your teacher start embroidering?

Influenced by my grandmother, who was a fashion school instructor, I became familiar with handicrafts such as sewing and knitting from an early age.

When I was a high school student, I learned about the existence of French embroidery in an embroidery book I bought with pocket money, and I began to start embroidering by myself.

Q. Why did you offer online classes with CLASS101?

I was originally planning to make a ring pillow kit, but when I felt limited in conveying how to make it with only photos and sentences, I happened to hear from you.

If it's an on-demand lesson, it's easy to understand because you can see the detailed movements of the needle tip up close, and if there's something you've missed or want to learn by repeating it, I was fascinated by the fact that you can rewind and watch it as many times as you like, so I decided to start a class with CLASS101.

Q. What points did you put the most effort into when planning the class? Who would you recommend this class to?

The color of the fabric, the embroidery thread, the number of threads, etc. can be selected from several patterns, and it is now possible to customize it according to the student's preferences.

I would recommend this class to those who want to make souvenirs for themselves or their loved ones, and those who want to enjoy embroidery freely without getting stuck in the mold.

Q. What kind of experience do you want the students to have through this class?

I want you to enjoy the fun of gradually completing a work from a clean sheet of cloth, and the sense of accomplishment when it is carefully completed over time.

Q. Please give a message to the students!

This ring pillow is a work that takes time even for me, who has a long history of embroidery.

However, the design is simple, and the stitching is centered around simple techniques, so if you take your time slowly, even a beginner in embroidery can complete it.

If you have any questions, we'll be happy to support you, so let's enjoy embroidering together!
