Why you should learn English grammar

For those who have started studying English

What's one thing I must remember?

Exactly, English is really different from Korean!

Seems like a no-brainer?

But understanding and accepting this is the most important thing. This is because studying English becomes much easier if you understand and accept how the two languages are different rather than just recognizing that they are “different.”

While teaching students aged 8 to 19 at an English school, I discovered bad habits that students of all ages have in common. It was about speaking English in Korean style. I had a habit of creating sentences first in Korean that I was comfortable with, and then translating each word into English to create sentences. It's easy not only for students but also for adults to have this kind of habit. However, English is so different from Korean, so if you try to understand English in this Korean style, your English won't increase.

When you speak English, I need to change my mind to an English mindset. I feel that English is difficult because it is difficult to change my mind.

So how do you change that mindset? This is why you should study English grammar!

English grammar is the structure and framework within which all English sentences are created. If you can fully understand and accept this and fully master it, you will be able to think in English.

Therefore, for those who lack basic English skills, and for beginners who have started studying English,
