Anyone can take a film photo that tells a story

Hallo I'm Kim Chae-moo, a photographer and music video director who takes film photos. I started using film cameras when I was twenty years old on the recommendation of a senior in my club, and I've been working with film ever since. Easy snapshots are great, but I enjoy planning and shooting a picture that tells a story. I wanted to share that joy with all of you, so I decided to prepare the class.

In this class, under the topic of film cameras, I'll show you how to capture a picture with a story so that you can take it as a fun hobby, and how to build your own world so that you can become a professional artist through this!

I recommend it to people like this!

  • Those who want to express their own sensibility with a film camera
  • Those who want to work in the photography industry in addition to taking photos as a hobby
  • Those who want to take photos that tell a special story rather than just a regular photo
  • Those who want to make good use of social media with the photos they have taken, and those who want to create a portfolio

Why don't you turn your imagination into reality?

I started taking portraits of my friends in the early 10 years that I started taking pictures of my friends. I remember pressing the shutter because I was so excited that my friends, who didn't like the angular point of their appearance, were happy to see if they looked like this.

I enjoyed taking snapshots, but at some point I became greedy to take more diverse photos. I wanted to add more meaning to one photo. From then on, I began preparing for the shooting in advance, and pictures with that story were born. I was able to experience the thrill of realising an imaginary image into reality.

If you learn more about preparation before shooting, you can easily take pictures even when taking regular snapshots. After setting up the shooting framework with one story, the background, costume, and overall mood are determined, which is a great help in managing the shooting site. Would you like to work with me to turn your imagination into reality? I'll show you all the realistic parts you need for imagination!

The first step towards a special photo,

Storyboard for meticulous planning

Photos with stories and great photos can come out when planning is solid.

However, special photos don't necessarily come from unique ideas alone. From how to get ideas from everyday life, I'll show you how to find references. I will show you my know-how, from how to find the perfect photo and a differentiated location so that you can get one step closer, and how to contact a model that embodies the image in your head. tooth The process of planning and creating a storyboard, which is the final and most important task of capturing everything in a single image I'll show you.

When implementing what was planned. What are the essential points to pack at the actual shooting site? What's easy to miss? How to deal with unexpected situations that suddenly occur?

In addition to the points I tell you based on actual experience so that you don't get confused, I also included my own know-how to add ideas in the field. Of course, I'll tell you how to focus on the most important shooting scene and create the best results as I feel.

What can I learn from this course?

What preparation steps are required to create a story? It seems easy when you look at the result of a single photo, but there are more things you need to pay attention to than you might think, from the location to the models, costumes, and props. From how to find a location that is different from others to how to meet models I'll teach you every single one of the ways that are vague to ask and don't come up even if you search the internet! I'll also show you how I organize my work during the pre-shoot phase.

3. Post-production work required for dramatic productions

Post-production is essential for dramatic results! In this lesson I'll reveal the correction method I'm working on as it is! Together, we'll learn about Lightroom Classics and techniques used in Photoshop. In addition, I'll also teach you how to analyze a photo placed as a reference to achieve the desired color.
