About the class
Barista certification and capital,
With these two things, did you think all the preparations for starting a cafe were over?
Hallo I'm Che Shihu, CEO of Orbital Coffee Roasters. I currently run Orbit Seochon, Yeonnam, and Yeonhee. Additionally, as a brand director, he has participated in the branding and direction of more than 20 stores and currently works as the general director of a startup platform.
Seeing the many new cafes popping up around them, I think there are many people who still feel that starting a cafe is relatively easy. However, when you start a cafe, variables that exceed your expectations occur, and it's hard to find people who start a business prepared for them. They usually start with vague ideals and expectations. This is why the closing rate is as high as the rate of opening a cafe.
The most important value that many cafe entrepreneurs overlook is “sustainability.” And for this sustainability, everything must be thoroughly planned. I'm going to teach you how to start a successful cafe rather than a survival cafe through planning in class. In other words, we'll explore together how to succeed as a brand. We'll help you face reality and start a business only when you're really ready.
Course effect
- What kind of school should I go to? Instead of the same concerns, you can learn about the concerns you need to realistically do before starting a cafe.
- You can see what variables are behind why starting a cafe seems so easy.
- At the end of the day, a cafe is also a plan. Learn about cafe planning points that make a difference.
- I'll show you how to plan everything in a cafe, such as space, furniture, and traffic lines.
- We'll show you how to succeed as a brand rather than just a private cafe.
Recommended target
- People who vaguely dream of starting a cafe
- Those who want to prepare for the practical variables they will face before starting a cafe
- Those who are preparing to start a cafe with only capital and a barista certificate
- People who want to start a successful cafe rather than a cafe struggling to survive
2 reasons why this class is special
❶ The brand director
Tell me firsthand about cafe planning
We need to know the field first before planning. This field I work in is probably a coffee bar. You should know that if you misroute a coffee bar, you may lose 2 million won per month. In the end, these detailed plans come from experience.
To become bosses, we must be planners, or directors. A director is a person who oversees everything. Can I start a successful business simply because I don't know how to properly brew a cup of coffee?
❷ Move away from ideals and face reality
Start a cafe business with solid planning
The life span of an individual is determined to a certain extent by a “cafe.” I would like to tell you not to dare to start a business with an end in sight. Prepare to start a business when you don't know where your end is. Look back at yourself, rearrange your mindset, and make a difference.
The numbers don't lie. The startup rate and closing rate make no sense. Even closing a business takes a lot of effort and effort and is not easy at all.
Are you really serious about starting a business? Keep asking yourself the question of whether starting a business isn't just an escape, or if you're just judging by what you see and hear. And when that question is answered, I'll help you start a business based on a solid plan.

Curriculum
Creator
This is Orbital Coffee Roasters after the meal.
Starting as a barista, from a 20-square-meter store in Anyang to 3 stores in Seoul.
Beginning as a barista, former brand director of the design studio 'Space Ji-hoon'.
Starting as a barista, the executive director of the startup platform 'Tomorrow's Startup'.
And even opening a course in class 101.
I've seen and learned so many things. I've been studying, experiencing, and growing continuously for 4 years.
The startup market is difficult, and so is the coffee market. In order for the Korean coffee market to grow, the skills of the founders will be leveled upward to revitalize the coffee market, and coffee consumption will naturally increase even more. It's a virtuous cycle.
I've seen countless bosses closing their businesses. There are also many famous cafes that have disappeared without a word of mouth. There's no law that says I won't be one of them. On the other hand, in terms of probability, the probability is over 80%. Don't start a business easily by thinking lightly. “Easy” is relative after all, but the moment I close the business, my hard work mixed with blood and sweat becomes an “easy” effort.
