About the class
Hello, I'm Heemiin, an illustrator currently working with various overseas companies at the Lemonade Illusion Agency in the UK.
I've been painting for a long time and thought, “What do I want to talk about through painting?” I've been thinking about it all the time. It was a subtle thing that was hard to define in a nutshell, and it was like expressing coolness and warmth at the same time. I decided to try drawing it, and that's how my own special world of work was formed.
The solitude and emptiness that is deeply embedded in the city, the warmth that can be felt somewhere on its periphery, like this My paintings, which are mixed with conflicting and diverse temperature emotions, resemble self-portraits of us with complex and detailed emotions living in that city.
This class consists of a general understanding of art and practical illustration lessons. I recommend it to beginners who have not majored in art, and those who like painting but are curious about what contemporary art is.
If you like everyday contemporary paintings such as “David Hockney” and “Alex Katz,” which feel a little out of reality, I think you'll enjoy learning my classes. For beginners, it's an experience where you can draw great pictures one by one as a hobby after work, and it can help those who have tried drawing to find their own style. About the picture It doesn't matter if you have no prior knowledge, just bring your interest and passion!
- You can become more familiar with art through understanding art theory, which seemed remote.
- You can learn basic drawing skills and various expressions through step-by-step drawing exercises using digital tools.

- Those who know more about contemporary art and want to draw their own works
What makes this class special
❶ HYUNDAIStart by understanding the fundamental concepts of art
For those who have found art difficult in the past, I included the theory of contemporary art in the course. If you understand why a painting you've seen at least once is famous and what meaning it has in terms of art history, you can understand painting in more depth. The difference between abstract art and figurative art, the changed appearance of painting from modern to modern, and contemporary art in the process of experiencing art that is deeply embedded in our daily livesArt can be understood more easily and in a fun way.
❷ Build skills through step-by-step practice
Depending on the difficulty level of the work, you can learn the skills step by step by dividing them into 3 levels of practice: objects, people, and landscapes. While drawing things You'll learn basic drawing skills using digital tools such as layers and brushes, and learn what to keep in mind when drawing people and how to describe simple yet impactful facial expressions. Then, I'm going to draw a complex landscape where these two steps are combined. You will draw a landscape painting with your own unique imagination, and you will learn how to structure the screen and the effects of enhancing completeness. From simple object paintings to freely imagined landscape paintings that include people and objects, I will teach in detail so that beginners can easily follow along.
I'm Heemin, an illustrator who majored in drawing at the University of the Arts London and currently works for the Lemonade Drawings Agency in the UK.
I've been drawing since I was a quiet baby, and after graduating from college, I ran into a wall of ideals and reality, and I thought about quitting art for a while, but eventually I realized that I couldn't live without painting from myself, so I'm currently working as an artist.
Doing what I wanted to do became my job, and my goal was to live freely.
I'd like to share that time with you for a while.
Let's do it together!
