About the class

Hello, I'm Ian, the director of Heo Seo Museum of Art. In addition to art history that can be learned through books, there are also hidden stories we don't know. I can develop my sense of aesthetics and vision just by getting to know these detailed stories along with the entire history of art.

This class is for beginners who want to learn about art history and painting appreciation. I'll tell you a story about how to easily organize art history by period and easily solve how to bluff in front of paintings. There will also be many interesting stories about the birth, background, and artist of important figures in art history that break with what is commonly known and unbiased. Now that we've summarized difficult art history in an easy-to-understand story and a complex art history class, let's finish art history in one class!

What makes this class special

Learn the stories hidden in art history by period

In class, I'm going to take a look at art history around the world in its entirety and hear stories of hidden artists and works that I've never heard anywhere else. When it comes to art history and painting, do many people think it's difficult and complicated? Art history is apparently a world history, so only the terms within it are difficult, and once you know it, you can develop a perspective that can interpret and appreciate paintings without difficulty. By organizing art history by period, the curriculum was designed so that even people who don't know art can understand it. In addition to the history of the world by period, you can also listen to the stories hidden within it.

If you're interested in art history, I think you've heard Gombrich's books at least once and were afraid to open them with a vast amount of content. I'll teach you the secret to distinguishing art history with common sense rather than anything else, so please follow the classes one by one!
