About the class

Hallo Yonikim is one of the most popular places to travel. An illustrator who records the world he sees in a variety of ways, and an Instatoon artist who shares small everyday life.

I want to draw an Instagram cartoon, but I can't really think of what kind of story to draw? We seem to have the same daily life every day, but if you look closely, every day is different today. You don't have to draw a great story. Anyone can easily start an Instatoon and become an author.

From ordinary everyday life to a special day

We seem to have the same daily life every day, but if you look closely, every day is different today. And they all have their own stories. The reason I keep records of my daily life is simple. I wanted to remember the current feelings that I could just let go of, and make this day special. A day without a record is just yesterday and the same day that has passed.

The reason I do Instatoon

There are many forms of records, but I think Instagram has great appeal. It means that everyday life, which doesn't seem like a big deal, can be created into a fun episode by intertwining words and pictures. By adding weight, I can express the situation and feelings at that time in a more realistic way. Above all, being able to communicate with others by being the main character in a comic is probably the most special thing.

Even when I first started InstaToon, my goal was to relieve my frustration. However, as I continued to draw, I developed a good habit of finding small joys in triviality. And as I've been sharing that process all the time, I've received empathy from someone and comfort from others, and I think that has been a great source of strength for me.

Results I left while recording myself

After piling up my stories one by one, I came up with several books. Starting with <I want to sleep> <I want to sleep>, <moderately uncomfortably >, <slow Cancun>, <My Area> came out. Even now, I'm still working on various things while drawing Instagram comics.
