I'm Emine (Kang Kyung-min) who is studying, researching, and teaching Turkic studies (Turkic). I came into contact with Turkiye when I went to Istanbul by chance, and I went to Kazan Federal University, the heart of Turkic studies, and obtained a master's degree (associate doctorate) in philology (Linguistics: Turkic languages in intercultural communication) to study Turkic studies. Currently, I am studying theory-application-comparative linguistics at the same university's postgraduate program (postgraduate): I am doing research on errors that occur when Tatar is translated into Turkish and Korean.
I spent about 10 years working as a freelance translator and lecturer in Turkish representing the Turkic language, and I prepared this course to provide a quick and accurate travel Turkish (Turkiye) for those preparing for a trip to Turkiye based on the language-cultural know-how I learned while teaching international students, expatriates, and majors who are traveling to Turkiye, both close and far.
I learned about cooking locally based on my experience of living in the Turkic cultural areas of Istanbul and Kazan for over 9 years! We'll even tell you Turkish for a survival trip and the culture and travel tips you need for your trip.
