Woodcarving atelier “FEEL D OZ” Hobby Class 101, which meets with the app, meets to create an online woodcarving class.
About Field Oz Oh Ji-young
Hello everyone, I'm Oh Ji-young from “Field Oz”, a woodcarving atelier that carves wood with a knife to make everyday objects.
I started touching trees because I liked the warmth of trees and the natural, healthy feeling. While I was looking for a hobby that I could easily do at home with wood, I learned about woodcarving to make spoons by cutting wood with a knife, and I went beyond that as a hobby to a job.
I hope it will be a slow but warm class for those who are tired of their busy lives, and I would like to share more of the natural charm of trees:)
Cutting wood may seem like a difficult job for a carver, but in fact, it's a job that anyone who has ever sharpened a pencil can do without difficulty.

Q & A
Q. What kind of wood do you use? A. As a practice tree, I will prepare spruce, which is a type of soft wood that is very soft. Also, the wood blank uses walnut and cherry, which are hardwoods from North America. North American hardwood is an expensive tree used to make the finest furniture, and is strong and durable.
Q. Using a knife to cut wood, isn't that dangerous? A. Knives are sharpened and sharpened to cut hard wood. That's why we also provide gloves to protect your hands when working. Always wear it when cutting trees, and if you follow the instructions I tell you to cut, there is no risk of serious injury!!
Q. What kind of oil do you use for finishing? A. For finishing, use drying oils such as walnut oil and linseed oil. For this all-in-one kit, we will prepare walnut oil. Walnut oil is an edible natural oil that is easy to obtain, has a savory aroma, and is good for health. 🙋 However, it is fatal for those who are allergic to walnuts or nuts, so if you are allergic, please be careful when purchasing!!
