  • Transparent things

Skills You’ll Learn

Points of view when observing transparent objects

You will learn the 7 elements for creating illustrations from real objects and photographic materials

Draw different materials freely

Understand techniques for expressing thickness, transparency, texture, scratches, dirt, etc.

Techniques for creating transparent sparkles

You will learn how to draw specific light and shadows that bring out the appeal of transparent things

A huge step forward from “I'm somehow able to draw”. Let's draw “transparent things” in a one-day mini-class!

This is a compact class where you can watch all lessons in 1 day.

I will give a lecture on understanding the true way “transparent things” look through observation and analysis, and incorporating them into illustration expression. It even explains how to match the style of the character illustration. Let's learn how to draw convincing things through “transparent things” that shine in illustrations.

Effects you can expect after taking the course

  • You can understand how to look at complex “transparent things”
  • If you look at materials, you will learn how to think that you can draw anything
  • You will be able to draw things in line with the style of character illustrations

Recommended classes for people like this

  • Those who can draw characters but are worried that there will be a difference in quality because they don't know how to draw things
  • Those who want to progress from the “I can somehow draw”.
  • Those who are worried that when they try to draw things, they become too realistic and drift away from the characters

When you take the course

You need paint software that can use multiple layers, composite layers, and textured brushes.

Example: Procreate/Photoshop/ SAI/ CLIPSTUDIO/IBISPaint

3 reasons why this class is so special

① You can finish watching all lessons in 1 day

This is a class that compactly summarizes the points necessary to draw transparent objects. The first half consists of a lecture section where you learn the points of view necessary for observation, and the second half consists of a practical section where you actually draw transparent objects according to the style of illustration.

It enhances the quality of illustrations without spending precious production time.

② Explanation of observation methods using live-action images

I will explain points that cannot be fully understood simply by using photographs and illustrations as materials with images. When things are transparent, the way they look changes when you move them. Understanding the structure of visible information one by one makes it possible to express things persuasively.

③ Explain everything from observation → analysis to application to the work

A lecture on how to incorporate the results of observation and analysis into illustrations. In order to use actual observation results for illustration, it is necessary to understand the relationship between reality and illustration. In this class, you understand the characteristics of each pattern in the illustration and carefully explain how to deform the observation results.

Hello, I'm Hanamichi Ayata, a freelance illustrator! Thank you for your interest in this class.

“I want to get better!” I think the first barrier I run into when I start studying illustration is “drawing things.” When I think about drawing a background, I'm taken aback by the difference in quality with the characters, and the small details of the clothing become cluttered... there's no fun like drawing a character illustration! Drawing things is boring! It's tough! There are probably people who are about to throw a spoon. This class was created for such people.

What is necessary to have fun drawing things is to “discover.” In this class, we will unravel complicated ways of looking at things one by one. If you know how to look at it, “is that color that illustrator often draws about this part?” “It would be nice to emphasize this reflection!” The number of things I want to try will increase. Let's keep experimenting and pursue your own favorite way of drawing and looking. That will be your pattern.

I would be happy if this class helped you discover something.
