Why your sound is lacklame

What should we do to escape the commonly referred to as “karaoke sound” or “hillbilly sound”? Furthermore, what is the difference between a “professional sound” and does such a complete sound come out? This concern comes naturally after getting used to beatmaking to some extent. Even if you want to find a mentor or course that can solve this problem in a cool way, are you not sure who to go to or how to search for them?

Hello! This is TAEB (TAEB)!

Layone (Layone), Don Malik (Don Malik), Untell (Untell), Gi$T (GI$T), KURO (KURO), Kim Mi-jung (yourbeagle), Hae-il (77aeil), etc. I'm TAEB (TAEB), a beatmaker and sound designer who continues to collaborate with various artists! I would like to share with you all the know-how of beatmaking and tone making that was only revealed in offline lessons.

What is important in hip-hop

It's not Mars science, it's tone making and rhythm.

[Rae Won - 13 Reasons Why]

Everyone knows that Mars science is really important when it comes to melodic music. However, in hip-hop, the most important thing is “tone making” and “rhythm.” It's also a part that many beatmakers find difficult. It's also the reason we spend over an hour searching for good samples, rummaging through the sounds provided by virtual instruments.

Tone making and rhythm are the key elements that determine “professional” and “amateur”! Many offline students who have come to me are now making a difference on their own through my solutions.

The secret of sophisticated sounds

Tone making is at the core of hip-hop music. The trap beats all seem similar, but the well-made trap music is luxurious enough to make a clear difference. What's the secret to luxurious tones? What do I need to know to make good beets?

Still only with persimmons

Are you shooting drums?

[Dunmalick - CARSSETTE freestyle (Prod. TAEB)]

Many people only shoot drums with persimmons. As you repeat the section, take a picture of whether it fits here or there, and delete it repeatedly. There are many cases where it is only completed after 1 to 2 hours. Now you can stop doing such inefficient work. This is because rhythm has laws.

The secrets to creating an anomalous and beautiful rhythm that even those who think they shoot drums have missed! I will give you a one-point lesson where you will no longer have trouble constructing drums and rhythms, and I will give you a one-point lesson where you can feel confident.

If I can't organize my music

I'm still an amateur.

Do you feel that my music is frustrating and not clear for some reason? Don't you feel full even after working hard to create a chorus? Here's the key to organizing your music and making the dynamics come alive. Learn the know-how to explode the growth of my music.

Open project files provided!

I'll show you everything without hiding it.

I'll share as many of the files I've worked on as possible for you to find useful (Ableton Live 11 is required). Also, I'll introduce how the project came to be organized. You can make much better music than me, even if you follow my creative process.

Music, there's no right answer,

There is an incorrect answer.

[Kim Mi-jung - How to Love (feat. BIGONE)]

Increase your value and improve the quality of your beats. Get a sense of how luxurious sounds and drums are made and create your own. Now it's time to focus on the details. There's no right answer to music, but there are lots of wrong answers. I'll clear those wrong answers. We will make this a class you won't regret. Let's meet in class!

I'm Tabby who works as a beatmaker/producer and YouTuber.

When I started beatmaking, no one helped me. There were too few places to get relevant information, and there was no way to check if what I was doing well was correct. It was also difficult to verify the know-how I gained from being self-taught. So I think it's very happy and meaningful to be able to talk about this kind of beatmaking online.

I had the opportunity to design music by meeting many people while struggling on my own. It was an opportunity I was very grateful for, and it was an opportunity to interact with many artists such as Layone (Layone), Don Malik (Don Malik), Untell (Untell), Gi$T (GI$T), KURO (yourbeagle), and Hae-il (77aeil). As I moved from working alone to communicating with many people, I think it was a time when I was able to look more deeply at music while getting tested and sharing better ideas.

I worked with a deep interest not only in the hip-hop genre, but also in many other genres, and I think it's true that I also got a lot of opportunities other than hip-hop. While designing various CF songs such as Snow Ice, Kia Motors, Woongjin Water Purifier, and Albamon, I also gained a lot of experience in how the industry works and completes a single project.

Until now, I've only been able to share these know-how in offline lessons to about 40 to 50 people who have come to me, thankfully. It seems that little by little I learned how to teach people to understand, and what parts people are really struggling with. Finally, thank you very much for being able to introduce them to you online through Class 101. I'm still lacking and studying, but I'm going to share all my know-how with you without hiding it!
