A girl full of transparency
Skills You’ll Learn
An introductory digital illustration course to learn the transparent expression of “painting”
“I can draw sketches, but when I paint colors, they become subtle.”
“I want to draw an illustration with a sense of transparency”
Have you ever thought so?
This one-point classThis class uses line drawing data to teach “coloring,” which is important in illustrations, in a making-of format.
Even if you are a first-time user of software or have little experience with digital illustration, you can complete an illustration full of transparency like the one pictured on the right by watching a video and painting while imitating the creator.
The trick to creating a soft atmosphere and sparkling sparkle is to put light and shadow on your side
There are various ways to do it, even if you say it in a nutshell to create a sense of transparency. You can apply highlights and gradations, and draw reflected light using the intensity of the shadows. In one picture that I think is “beautiful” and “cute,” it is packed with more detailed drawing and techniques than I imagined.
In this one-point class, we focus on “painting,” which affects the impression of illustrations, and aim to improve skills.
[Flow of this fashion illustration course]
- Import PNG data and color code
- Master bucket painting while learning layers
- Blend line drawing and painting with Color Torres
- Use a brush to apply gradients
- Adjust the color of the skin, hair, and eyes, and carefully draw the hair streaks one by one
- Finish by adjusting saturation and contrast
The creator in charge is Kevin Bayashi, an illustrator who has experience creating illustrations for artists and appearing in Abepla
This “one-point class” is handled by creator Kevin Bayashi, who is in charge of a class that is also popular in CLASS101.
[Message from the creator]
I want you to draw your own pictures so much that they think are the most wonderful. I think that feeling makes drawing fun and the culture gets more and more exciting. However, painting is fun, so don't be too nervous and have fun learning together!
There are no kits for this class.
The program used in the class is “Procreate,” but since the functions used are just a few, it is possible to take classes with other painting tools.
