In order for those who are new to illustration to be able to step up while having fun, this class starts by practicing simple motifs such as flowers, creates and draws original characters, and then organizes them into “picture diary style illustrations” that are intended to be sent out on SNS.

I usually work as an artist as an illustrator and singer-songwriter.
In illustration activities, we receive requests centered on collaborations with shops, companies, and organizations that carry out sustainable initiatives that match our own values as much as possible. Also, when making goods with illustrations, I try to select and use materials that are kind to the earth.
After graduating from university, I worked for a music distribution IT company as a person in charge of planning and marketing operations.
At the same time, he works as a singer-songwriter and provides music to artists. From January 2020, I started my own illustration project “SUEKIKI (SUEKIKI)”. Since I was preparing to stay abroad in Denmark for the first time in the same year, I posted an illustrated English diary on Instagram to learn English on a daily basis.
Currently, I am working as a freelance artist, creating colorful, and familiar illustration content that makes both myself and my partner feel happy.

Q. How did your teacher get into illustration?
At first, I started writing a one-word diary in English to improve my English, and then I added black and white illustrations to it, so the illustration diary began. After that, when I lived in Scandinavia, where the cloudy skies continued for a long time, I saw the cityscape overflowing with color to brighten my mind even a little, and I felt the meaning of happiness that the colors give off. Since then, I have expressed most of my works with digital color illustrations that are easy to express in vivid colors.
Q. Why did you offer online classes with CLASS101?
I would be happy if my experience and know-how would be useful to people who want to start and continue an illustration diary, and I thought sharing how to create original works and being able to see the unique illustrations drawn by each of the participants would be meaningful and very learning for me.
Q. What kind of experience do you want the students to have through this class?
I want people to feel the fun of making a digital color illustration diary as a means of looking back on themselves and looking at their daily lives and sending it out on SNS.
Q. Please give a message to the students!
I myself didn't think that I would work to express myself with illustrations, and just drawing while looking back on my daily life gave me an opportunity to look at myself. I hope everyone can enjoy time to face themselves by making cute color illustrations of “my daily life” visible to the eye.
