About the class

Rediscovering Italian food! A gourmet trip to the magical island of Sicily

Italian food that has already become familiar to us. In addition to the menus you've often come across in class, you'll encounter a variety of exotic Italian foods. It's a simple yet professional recipe that makes it easy to enjoy the local flavors!

The northern region of Italy, represented by Milan, is dominated by sophisticated and luxurious high culture such as fashion and architecture, while the southern part of Italy, including Sicily, has a very developed simple yet deep food culture based on abundant food resources. That's why local Italians even go on food trips to southern Italy.

Let's take a look at Sicily, which is still unfamiliar but charming, through class. First, you'll learn the 5 types of pasta that Sicilians must eat with one meal a day. What's so special about Sicily's pasta, known as the Island of Illusions? We'll help you find that fantastic taste at home.

“Stay tuned, it will open up new horizons about Italian cuisine that you've known for a long time.”

Based on my experience working as a chef in Michelin restaurants in European countries and mainland Italy, I am currently As the owner chef of “Bistro Spark,” he offers a variety of Italian dishes. You can experience the kick of my cooking, which many people love, through the class.

I have a lot of experience running cooking classes and filming broadcasts, so I can tell you all the processes easily and accurately. Even those who aren't good at cooking will have fun creating professional dishes with me.

② A real food journey that doesn't end with recipe delivery

A class where you can make and eat together

“I'm hesitant to cook it right away because I don't know what it will taste like.”

“Is it true that it originally tasted like this? Did I make it right?”

You don't have to worry about it. In this class, every time we finish a menu, we'll try it right away and talk about what it tastes like and what kind of texture it has. You make it to eat, but you can't say you know 100% of the dish just by learning the recipe, right? If you're not sure what to cook today, take a look at the class and choose the pasta with the flavor you want to make. You'll be able to enjoy the exact flavors of Sicily to your heart's content.

If you don't just eat food, but cook your own food, that feeling of happiness is multiplied. Whether it's for yourself or for someone you love, the memory of the day you ate homemade food is a great memory for a long time. We hope you embark on a delightful Italian culinary journey, starting with the fantastic island of Sicily. Ciao!

SPARK CHEF

SPARK CHEF

Hello, I'm Park Seong-woo, a fireworks chef.

I was really fascinated by Italian food and culture from the moment I decided to major in college as cooking. Starting with studying abroad in New Jersey, USA, I expanded my perspective through apprenticeships and experiences as a chef in various parts of Europe, including Singapore, Amsterdam, Belgium, London, and Paris, and worked as a chef at a Michelin restaurant in mainland Italy.

Currently, as the owner-chef of “Bistro Spark” located in Apgujeong Rodeo, I am presenting my own Italian cuisine.

The name of the restaurant, SPARK, is an abbreviation of the English name Shawn Park that I used while working overseas, such as Italy, Singapore, etc., and it also contains the meaning that the first step in cooking begins when you ignite it with a torch. That's why I chose the name of the creator as “Fireworks Chef Park Seong-woo.”

In the meantime, I've been hosting offline cooking classes whenever I get the chance, such as small private cooking classes, large company collaboration cooking classes, etc. What I felt at that time was that more people than I thought were passionate not only about eating, but also about cooking their own food. I'll take this opportunity to help you cook your own dishes that are comparable to those of a chef by putting together my own know-how. I'll make sparks pop in your mouth with this amazing recipe that lives up to the name “Flame Chef.”

Now, let's take the first step in Italian home cooking with Pyrotechnic Chef Park Seong-woo?
