About Superflat
Hello, I'm Shim Sang-yoon, who works under the name Superflat! I make music based on ordinary stories I've experienced myself or experienced by people around me with the intention of making music that is easy for everyone to listen to.
This is a picture of the performance. I graduated from a high school in the humanities sector, and since I became a business administration student and a journalism student, I would be far away from majoring in music. However, I have been able to release and release 2 full-length albums, 3 single albums, and many unreleased songs as a result of bumping back and forth and gaining experience and knowledge just because I love music. I did it, so can you. You don't have to know how to handle musical instruments, or you don't have to be able to read sheet music!

About class
In this class, we'll be dealing with MIDI (MIDI) composition. MIDI refers to a digital instrument interface, but simply put, I would like to show you how to make music using a computer program without an instrument.
I'll show you everything from the basic components of a beat, how to use the program to express the keyboard instrument, which is the stem of the song, and the bass, which is the root, and mixing and mastering, which is the process of decorating and completing the song, with detailed materials and simple explanations.
This is a scene where I'm actually mixing songs.
Before the sound source is released, the audio file is subject to strict screening at the distributor level. For those whose goal is to move away from simple production to release, I'll show you all the processes I've gone through, including file formats and preparations to pass those standards.
Among the programs that allow you to compose without an instrument, FL Studio 20 is known for being both intuitive and feature-rich. After learning the basic features of the program, I'll analyze some ready-made songs in detail and copy them. Then, I'll show you the detailed process by recreating the songs I've written from beginning to end.

Q & A
1. What do I need to bring?
Requires a computer and a trial version of FL Studio 20, a sequencer program. (The fully functional version is purchased separately)
The program supports both Windows and Mac OS X.
The program can be downloaded for free, and there is no limit on the usage period, but some features may not be available.
Recording programs, microphones, and master keyboards are not essential elements in the introductory stage, but we will introduce them for a richer course.
2. Is it OK if I don't have advanced equipment?
Yes, it's fine. This is because it is a course that uses a trial version to teach the knowledge and information necessary for getting started in line with the purpose of Class 101. After fully learning how to compose midi, it is enough to autonomously purchase equipment and programs to produce a wider range of music.
In addition, the questions asked during the survey will be answered in the course intro. Thank you for subscribing!
[Additional configuration]
Drum samples and materials are compressed and sent free of charge in the form of attached files to the required lectures. I'll show you how to use it in the video!
📩 The package is subject to some changes, and we will be fully informed if there are any changes.
